• Unlock your mind, it's time to really think about your life and what It could look like. Write down your aspirations-(do not write or journal if you feel unsafe about who might discover or read it.
A woman in an abusive situation must
proceed with caution.* If you are able to
write openly without fear of prying eyes,
this excercise is invaluable to gaining clarity.
Let it be known that you are a powerful and brave person. (Sometimes we just forget).
You are beginning the process of taking back your life. In these quiet moments, ask questions out loud if you can. I talk to God.
You can talk to whom ever you like... God, Higher Power, Universe or the clouds...but
you need to speak your intentions.

"No one is ever remembered for living their unintentionally."
~ Leah Humphries
• While journaling, List your fears. Why are
you afraid?
• List your answers. Are they justified?
• What would it feel like to NOT be scared
anymore? What would attaining that
cost you? What would it cost you not to.
• List the ways that these fears have held
you back in your life. Where might you be
today if fear was inconsequential.
If you could turn the channel on your life
would you do it?
• Each day do one thing, anything, to move
forward in your pursuit of clarity and
your goal of pain2power!

DID YOU KNOW that some of the most brilliant minds on earth set
aside time each day to simply think? It's true. For example:
Internationally respected leadership expert,speaker,and author
John Maxwell (johnmaxwell.com) is one such person. After attending
one of Mr. Maxwells dynamic speaking engagements I had to smile at how simple this concept is.. and how much you can gain from doing it.

1. Writing can help heal
emotional experiences
2. Helps track your ideas
3. Can reduce stress
4. Help with authentic thinking
5. Journaling can document
and record abusive
behavior or crazy-making,
establish patters, and be very
useful in a therapy setting.
6. Writing can open you up to real
self-reflection.
7. Writing gives us a sense of control
over our circumstances.
A starting place for Clarity
“Clear thinking requires courage rather than intelligence.”
-Thomas S. Szasz
